Cool Weather Vegetable Plant Giveaway
Next Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6
Greetings gardening friends! We are giving away cool weather vegetable starter plants again this year at the Faith and Grace Garden Greenhouse.
• Saturday, April 5, 10 a.m. until noon.
• Sunday, April 6, noon until 2 p.m.
Park in the lot north of St Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 1020 24thStreet in West Des Moines.
Come by and select from the following free vegetable starts:
Broccoli, cabbage, collards, cauliflower, lettuce, kale, onions, spinach, and Swiss chard.
Please bring a box to take home your plants. Donations accepted, not required.
Experienced volunteers will be on hand to help you with your gardening questions.
Mark your calendar for the warm weather vegetable plant giveaway on May 3 and May 4. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, herbs, squash and melons will be available then.
Our stalwart volunteers have been busy getting plants ready for the giveaway.
