Garden Vegetable Start Giveaway Extended to this Saturday – May 16 from 10:00 A.M. until Noon
We still have plants available after the giveaway last week, so we will have another giveaway this Saturday morning.FREE Warm weather vegetable seedlings: tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, melons, cucumber and some herbs (parsley, thyme, basil, dill and a few others).
Park on the lot north of St Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 1020 24th Street, West Des Moines (corner of 24th & Ashworth Road)
Donations gladly accepted, but not required. Please bring your own sack or box.
Experienced volunteers will be on hand to help with gardening questions.

Become a Garden Volunteer in 2026
We are seeking volunteers to help in the garden starting now and continuing through October.
Individuals can volunteer in the garden from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. To schedule your visit and help us plan for your volunteer experience, please text Mark Marshall at 515-988-5381.
